It’s possible to express our distrust of the President-Elect, Barack Obama, without violence. First and foremost, we don’t condone the actions of “hundreds” of race threats, crimes recently covered by AP News.  The Huffington Post also just reported that racial incidents and threats against Obama soar and yesterday reported that Obama faces more personal threats than other Presidents-Elect.  It’s also not about perceived racism against Obama in Kentucky or the “racist belt” across the southern states of America.  We disagree with the writer of the bogus article “This Racist Election” as well.

INSTEAD of behaving badly, we ask our fellow Americans to simply express their disgust with our “F the President” stickers and other F-wear!  Let’s remind the liberal elite that over 40% of the electorate voted against Barack Hussein Obama.

Freshman International Affairs student Meg Dunn at the University of Georgia has it right in today’s UGA Red & White

I’m disgusted with the way both parties here represent themselves.

Rather than uniting, liberals and conservatives would rather argue about which side is right. But liberals and conservatives can be wrong. They’ve been wrong. No side is innocent. No side has more dignity than the other.

Yes, I’ve seen bumper stickers saying “F the President” but I’ve also seen buttons that say “We’re f-ed” over Obama’s logo. I doubt that that’s the support conservatives have offered to show our president-elect. Obama hasn’t even entered office yet.

If conservatives want to support the president-elect, then do it without insulting liberals. Liberals should accept the victory gracefully.

This country needs unity, not division. If we all love our country, then let’s do what we can to help it.

Stop bickering with each other and start working together. Prove that both sides can have dignity. We are Americans first. Parties and ideologies come second.

We would agree, generally.  Our gripe is NOT with the United States, but rather with the Office of the President (or the President-Elect) being used to degrade hard-working Americans, taking away our God-given rights, and generally driving America into the ground administration by administration.

And so it begins…  (this excerpt lifted from Pamela Geller’s blog)

i do not recognize obama as my president, nor as the legitimate president of the united states.

it is all pretty simple and straight forward to me.
the man is a political fraud.
    he hid who he was.
    he hid what he is.
    [... snip ...]

so, no, i concede nothing with regard to obama.
he was elected under false pretenses, and he will govern under false pretenses, and the only reason for doing so is to hide his evil intent with regard to the fate of the country he “rules.”

he is not my president.  i do not accept him  we have no deals, mr. obama and i, as he has vitiated them by a fundamental and far reaching fraud.  he has evil designes and intents upon me and mine, upon thee and me.

    And so it continues.

The Supreme Court hasn’t weighed in (yet) on the 2008 Election, but all the major television networks are calling the transformative Presidential election for “The One”.

Over the past four years, FthePres have been non-partisan — despite our counter-culture approach — and challenged the blind faith in the Leader of the Free World. Now OUR allegiance shifts… and so do the millions of people who have W stickers on the tail end of their vehicles. Many will order “F” replacement stickers!!!

On ABC News tonight around 9:30p CT in Chicago, Oprah Winfrey said:

“I haven’t seen this sense of unity since 9/11, really, really and 9/11 was this tragic experience that brought us all together and now we’re all brought together IN THE NAME OF HOPE. Not since 9/11 have I experienced anything even kinda close to this.”

We’re guessing she hasn’t seen the Electoral Map, because 40-50% of the voting public cast their lot against the President Elect. This is far from “unity”. Affected citizens can express their anger about this shift of power through purchase of products at the FthePres.com website.

As George W. Bush passes the mantle to Barack H. Obama on January 20th 2009, so do the previous supporters of the “F the President” bumper sticker, coffee cup, t-shirts and other merchandise. See these and other products at http://www.fthepres.com.

We’re mentioned in yet another newspaper article:

And to those who wrote to complain about the “F— Obama” bumper stickers, where have you been for eight years? People all over Athens have had “F The President” stickers on their car windows that mimic the “W” stickers many Republicans had. I don’t recall any of you complaining about those stickers or what they taught 13-year-olds.

This came in today from a customer of ours…

    Hi folks,

Just thought you might be interested, in case you’re keeping track of such things.

I’ve had my “F the President” sticker that I got from y’all several years ago, soon after you started offering them (I think). It’s sat undisturbed on the back of my car for lo these many years. Until a few days ago.

On Friday, I noticed that someone had vandalized my sticker. Picture here:

There were a few other scratches on my car, too, but this was the most targeted area.

We’re pissing people off, so we must be doing something right. ;)

Out of curiosity, ARE you keeping track of how many of your stickers get destroyed?

    Keep up the good work!

    best wishes,

    Laura

Is she? Well, clearly Jon Friedman thinks so. Read his diatribe here and note he states we’ve been saying “F the President” since the 1960’s. Who new?

It may have been earlier this year, but we just heard about it. The Black & White newspaper of Birmingham Alabama mentioned our F the President sticker in an article titled A Bright Blue Dot Brings Political Hope. It talks about the “bright blue dot” bumper stickers of our brothers and sisters to the west. Here’s what it says:

“I went back and forth about it because I don’t like the divisiveness that is so often a part of our country’s politics, but being in such a conservative state it’s easy to feel like you’re the only one who thinks more liberally,” she says. A lifelong fan of bumper stickers, Lasseter says she first considered a more extreme message against the current administration. “The stronger ones, like ‘F the President,’ I actually agree with, but as a mother I have to explain those things to my children, so I decided to go with the blue dot.”

We’re happy that there’s an alternative, but nothing gets the point across like OUR stickers.
